covid compliance
a little Exmoor history

So we at wildaboutexmoor have been busy risk assessing and making sure that we are “good to go”!

We’ve had some great events on Exmoor already this Summer, smaller numbers due to the covid restrictions but in some ways that is quite nice as we can chat more!

Malcolm is in full flow about the Knight family and early Exmoor history in this photo, taken just above White Rock cottage and the gardens which are currently being renovated. Still a great place for a socially distanced picnic on the lawn, and good to know that the loos are open, as is the Exmoor Forest Inn for a refreshing  glass of cider after a long walk!

The nightjars have been flying well, with some lovely warm evenings to bring the insects out, and it was warm enough to swim on our Simonsbath picnic walk – heavenly!

Everyone is being reassuringly sensible about distancing, and most of our favourite places are up and running again, with more opening up daily, so do come and enjoy a holiday or short break soon, before we all have to hunker down again as the nights draw in. Mind you, the stargazing season opens up properly as August draws to a close, so we are looking forward to that!
